Mrs. Ruth Ellen Bennett

The Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge announces funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Ellen Bennett, age 87, of Mineral Bluff, GA who passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2008 in the Fannin Regional Hospital. Born in Fannin County, GA she was the daughter of the late Will and Pearl Olvey Hembree. She had worked as an assembly line machine operator. Mrs. Bennett was a member of Macedonia Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Bennett.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, James E. and Beverly Bennett of Blue Ridge, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Ann and Paul B. Robinson, Sr. of Morganton, GA; sister, Ruby Horning of Copley, OH; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Macedonia Church of Christ with Minister Terry Stuart, Minister Butch Jones officiating and eulogy given by a family member. Music will be lead by Jerry Hembree with congregational singing.

Interment will follow in the Macedonia Church of Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Bennett, Jr., Paul Robinson, Jr., George Robinson, Shawn Carver, Seth Robinson, Zachary Carver, Trey Robinson, James Bennett, Brady Carver, Brent Ware and Jeff Rhodes.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday after 2:00 p.m. but especially from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of the arrangements.
